You say you have an old arrows kart. There used to be a kart called an Arrows. There also used to be an engine called a Hewland Arrow, which providing it had an airbox, exhaust wrap, and fin rubbers fitted would not be any noisier than a Formula TKM engine, which Hooton do allow. Perhaps you do have an Arrows kart without current spec bodywork and bumpers fitted, which they may not be keen to allow on track.
