Definately sounds like air in the system to me. I have flushed fresh brake fluid all the way through the venom system until it came out clear at the bleed nipple and after I tightened everything up there was still air in the system.

One other thing you need to do is back off the brake pedal so it's all the way back and then bleed the system.
