A new, legal, Blue, without any accessories (ie no powerbox either but with no 'special' mods done to it) is Ł1150. So a used one will be more than Ł350, let alone the chassis.

If it is a broken power box, have you tried Ron Shone at Tabor? He might even have an old box in stock, while I believe Guy Ringham had to replace an old 5 with a new 5A this year, so may still have the old one for sale.

If you aren't worried about the MSA legality of the box, then get a local electrical engineer to have a look at the old one. Apparently they are only a few quids' worth of components covered in potting compound, so it might be 'repairable'.
