Throwing away or banning the 09 barells is obviously not an option but the quirk of circumstances that has led to the large discrepency in performance has now created a problem in Jnr Max. JAG / Rotax need to look at ways of bringing the performance levels inline. I am not sure how this could be acheived short of offering a substantial an exchange system for the older product.
Rotax, however have acheived what they claimed when introducing the CNC machined barrel to supply a more consistent motor that was as good as the best older motors so prehaps we should have seen this coming. I feel fortunate that the same situation has not arisen in Snr Max yet!
