100 National, something is definitely wrong here. For a start, the noise level should be tested at trackside where an engine is under load rather than free revving and to ask for a limit of 78dB is unachievable. As a previous poster has indicated, every 3dB reduction is a halving of the sound level. I would ask where this limit has come from as this is suspiciously close to the workplace noise limit of 80dB but there is something fundamentally wrong with what they are asking for. If you want to use this facility, I would start to ask lots of questions - even tracks that are only allowed to run 4-strokes aren't subject to this level of restriction. Hope this helps Booney
