Sadly Mark is bang on the button.
I feel very sorry for Neal C and his loyal band, he has recently elevated himself to the hot seats helping to run MBKC.
I had a conversation over 2 years ago with 2 people who have now disembarked from the S.S.MBKC.I suggested at the time they should listen to competitors issues or this would happen. Other people at the time realised also and were shot down or ignored or suggestions dismissed by said people..it felt like a dictatorship not a members club.
Sadly MBKC is now "reaping what it sewed".

Having attended Wigan since its opening, Mr Hyde and all that followed didn't kill us or the racing off. However as a working man, turning up on a Sat dinner time with drivers to be turned away and sent up the Industrial Estate to park up as "no room at the Inn",trailer screwed by the p~keys,no tannoy !!missed races, I soon appreciated what Joseph felt like at Christmas.I then started to take a Friday off worl, losing then a Saturdaymornings pay just to get in the paddock, not being able to rent a space as well.

Six months of a 40 ft artic parked by the toilets(A bad problem at the time I personally sorted with Mr Peter Barnes after a horrendous weekend,no ladies,sh#t everywhere etc ,not MBKC)that only had a cadet in it from a THURSDAY night
Bouncer type control of the gate Fri/Sat,then the mysterious £10 per person entry after 10am on a Sunday episode ..
A Manchester business man who was prepared to sponsor karting at Wigan and/or offer the club an alternative venue 20 miles away for 25 years ignored !!! as he was well aware of the ARDS / MBKC situation at the time..
Then there was Motors, basically Rotax and Formula Blue (quote at the time of getting it started "we don't really want another class haven't the capacity) !!! "etc didn't exist as the Club was pampering to all the young hopefuls except TKM, whose parents were paying towards the big grids just to see their kids on TV,what happened to Motors/MBKC arrangement in the end,too late the rank and file members had started to go elsewhere, and looking at it have not returned. There may also still be some lingering resentments about the way MBKC abandoned GYG one month into a season and just left everyone high and dry explanations took a long time coming on that one..
NEAL you and tour team have an uphill struggle,I have been back twice this year to Wigan and YOU and your combined efforts HAVE changed things for the better, however currently I still cannot get fired up to return on a regular basis due to the past treatment,so I am costing you 3/4 drivers a month..
There were more TKMs at Hooton wanting to race Sat night than MBKC apparently fielded Sunday and that is sad.
Due to the Recession I think it might be an opportune time for some hard bargaining with Peter Barnes for a start,re-surfacing that never happened ,what did the big VAT refund 2+ years ago go on, it was to be re-invested ((dont know who got it but the paddock is still crap especially when it rains),he is being affected elswhere so might be a good time to try.
At the current entry levels the club will shortly run out of funds, when it was according to the financial reports some 3 years ago very healthy, rumoured to be the wealthiest club in the UK at the time.
Neal you attend most Hooton meetings with Rob,whats the difference between the 2 venues, big SNR and JTKM grids only 28 miles from 3S.
I know it is "difficult"!!! to speak with drivers re MBKC on a race wekend but some way has got to be found quickly to resolve the situation looming.
I do not wish to see MBKC as a club or 3S Wigan as a venue for karting fold,I have been going there since day one,get together, talk, listen,be constuctive and see if collectively this situation can be turned around in the interests of the sport in the North West.
