There was some pictures of a twin engined 100cc kart , either linked from a post on here or on karting1 forum, but it looked the biz.
If you use BT82's you could use a clutched engine on the right side for easy staring and a DD on the right side with the inboard chain. Start the clutched engine and use that to pull away starting the 2nd engine (sounds good in theory!!!)
The exhaust is the awkward bit as you need to make new manifolds so the both exhausts miss each other.
A mate of mine has a twin world formula kart, they are pull start though . The exhausts are positioned one over the other pointing outward in opposite directions.
