Why the obsession with starting karts on the trolley? It tells you basically nothing about how the kart will perform on the circuit. More often than not, a poorly performing kart will start on the trolley and be seemingly fine anyway.

With a properly setup carb you can bump start yourself, from cold, with ease. No choke, no easystart wheel, no hand throttle or other silly contraptions and no need for a starter. The key is correctly priming the carb, setting the idle screw to a slight jog and pushing from the right hand side allowing you to get on the throttle (and not too much throttle either) quickly.
