Totally agree that Gearbox karts are the way to go if you want to learn your trade with the intention of moving on into cars.
I started in 100 & 100 International then to 250Intenational in the 70's before cars. The 100's teach you loads of racecraft then the 250's give you the confidence with speed which the d/d karts can never achieve. Now as an old timer I have come full circle and I am racing Rotax now and still having fun, a point often missed by many these days.
