John, there can be a situation where the kart passes the slip test but there is a small amount of grease on the internal surfaces. Small amounts of chain lube and/or bearing grease can still get in during normal running.
So my question is: what would be the overall interpretation of the rule quoted above?
Theoretically, the clutch surface will no longer be free of contamination after the kart has left the grid, because the clutch is not perfectly sealed. One presumes that scrutineers are required to use a subjective view and common sense.
An interesting point is the Super 1 arrangement: with the Unipro logger attached, green is clean.
