Matt, could be a few things but as a start, was there air in the fuel pipe before you came to start it? If so, fuel pump could be in need of a rebuild, I would also strip and cleam the carb making sure the float and needle are operating correctly.
If you are at all unsure about this, take it to a dealer or your local track where I am sure someone will be willing to help.
