As you are in the Midlands, why not try the Formula Blue class. The Blue restrictor system compensates for weight, so all ages and weights have equal performance, and the series challenges have trophies for the heavier drivers(Top weights) and older drivers (masters at 40, veterans at 50). The system works well enough for Topweights, Masters and Veterans all to figure in the national rankings.

Buying a new Blue engine is approximately the same price at the TKM Tag and the maintenance and running costs seem very similar.

There are also good Blue Grids around the Midlands at Wigan, Glan y Gors and Hooton Park.
