But that is only a starting point, as now there's different regulations, with grippier tyres etc... the gearing will possbily be different. So i'd buy yourself a rev counter and try and get the kart to hit about 15,500/16,000 rpm at the end of the longest straight, but bear in mind, the lower the max revs, the longer the rebuild times are.
