Hi Roger, the short answer is yes but the pinstripe will sit higher than the paint. Plenty of laquer will negate this to an extent though.
The other alternative is to paint a pinstripe in? You can get double pinstripes which you could use for masking as they have perfect parallel lines but be wary as they are very sticky and if you are not careful, could lift paint off.
