Surely if it's really bad then your pressures are too low. In the winter on the old tyres sometimes I ran mine an extra 2 or 3 psi as the tyres weren't hitting their peak until too late in the race and early on the kart was too loose.

If this is not the case then I would suggest practising warming your tyres up at a slow pace (rolling lap speed). Make best use of the rolling lap.
