Salt = Electrolyte

High salt levels on metals (aluminium in particular) can result in corrosion. Clean your kit thoroughly and rinse off all residue then give a good coat of WD40. Clean the carb, make up some fresh fuel and run engine rich on the stand to get plenty of oil in the crank and you should be OK.

An alternative to the use of salt is to use fertiliser as a de-icer, its what we use at SYKC, and it has no effect on kit.
