Looking at several races, the difference between a TKM and a Blue is less than the difference between drivers.

So it really depends on how good the grid is as to which goes first.

With a mixed quality grid it is much more difficult. The best TKMs on the grid at one track are 0.75 quicker than me in a Blue, the best Blues are at least a second a lap faster than me on the same track.

No, I don't know how the TKM drivers stack up against the best of their class, I do know the best senior Blue drivers are MSA British Champion material.

It does show the difficulty of running different classes in the same grid though, for it had been suggested in the past that Blue and TKM could possibly run in the same championship class. All it took was a change of tyres for one kart to get an advantage. There is an obvious incentive then for a class authority to 'boost' class victories and presumably the class popularity by making changes to their class regulations that would require a lot of new 'levelling ' rules.
