Good alignment of the body and internals.

My 98, 99 & 00 seem to be better seemingly due to manufacture then not being so mass produced....MAYBE ??!!!

A combination of float set up (60/60 and 30/30) are crucial along with 8.5 and 12.5 venturi....then test !

I have set up's that are BIG jets (Junior 160, 162 and 165) as well as other carbs that are set up with 148 and 150 jets !!!!

Circuit/weather dependant.
