Thanks, dale99b, for your kind response. I reckon the pop-off + gaskets are OK since the carb was fitted by Patron Racing and the top man there (Pat)seems about as expert as you can get. So I'll adjust bottom and top-end settings as you suggest. I've managed before to get the tickover relatively OK with the kart on the stand. Then after a few laps on the track, when the motor's quite a bit hotter, it won't tick over. Did you sort yours out in the garage or trackside, I wonder? (I'm a bit more patient in the garage.)
