Correct me if i am wrong but you can now come off novice plates with no need to upgrade, you can do this at the end of the year when you have to renew your licence.
My boy now has 7 sigs on his licence and runs on yellow plates, we still hand his licence and upgrade card in as if we were a novice. We have been advised to get 12 signatures at 4 tracks and go to straight to A licence.
