We have raced at Rowrah a few times and Malcolm Fell is very hot on practice day incidents. There has been a driver briefing on Saturday morning and Malcom has made it clear that poor driving can result in missing the next practice session.
For race day though I do wonder if the points system is a bit too rigid for club racing. Maybe if you hit another kart resulting in that driver losing places then a drive-through penaly would ruin your race and avoid possible appeals etc. The obvious downside is when you are an innocent victim of a marshall's error but it could be more effective than points.
Obviously points should still be an option for the CoC but used for the more blatant offences and in national championships where the driving standards SHOULD be higher.
