Rotax Snr Vs TKM TAG Extreme

When i first started karting a couple of years ago i chose the rotax as i needed to be able to start it myself.

Now have found out that they do the TKM with an onboard starter. Having to keep the costs of my karting down to a small budget im thinking TKM (as you can rebuild it yourself) to be the best engine for the tight budget.

My problem is what to do?

Do i fully rebuild the rotax @ Ł600 or sell the rotax and add some of the money from what would have be the rebuild and buy a brand new TKM TAG Extreme engine?

How much difference is the rotax to the TKM TAG Extreme? I normally race 177.

Thanks for any advise you can give.
