I see from ypour profile that your local track is PF and your lad does WTP. Do you plan to race there mainly and in WTP or another cadet class?
There is no `best' chassis so why not go for one that is fairly common on your track? That way you are likely to find people who can help with set-up. You also need to consider availability of spares so any kart stocked at PF would seem good.
Otherwise it is a case of trying to get a test drive in various ones.
