The point I'm trying to make is that if rotax really wanted to they could buy birel and close them down. In effort to give some sort of comparison is like comparing ford to ferrari in the 60's. Ford not a sportscar manufacturer tried to buy ferrari. Enzo refused. Ford got mad and built the Gt40 and wiped the floor with ferrari.

Rotax are just a different scale of company to Birel.
