When I bought the hone, I wasn't sure what I would need, so guessed and ordered 180 & 240. After trying them out and comparing to my memory of all the rebores done for me by Stan Owen, and the new motors I had bought over the years, I decided that 180 was about right, and that I should have ordered something coars*r, instead of the 240, for roughing out.
