Sorry, you misunderstood me, when I said there wasn't anything on it, I meant there wasn't anything to forbid it as implied by the original post.

About the only thing I could see against it is that glycol has adverse effects if drunk or inhaled and will kill animals that might drink it, while the taste attracts them.

So the general MSA ruling about care with dangerous chemicals and the need for special spill kits could be seen to deprecate glycol but not some other coolant / antifreeze bases.

But generally there doesn't seem to be anything specifically against glycol. Nor anything specifically for it either. It is merely not illegal.
