I took my youngest out last weekend as he is a novice and inexperienced in the wet. In the morning it was damp and he wouldn't listen, kept going in a bit fast, taking wrong lines etc. In the afternoon it got properly wet. I sat him down and said if he carried on driving like he had he would have a big crash. I sent him out he drove very carefully and sensibly. Spinning 4 times less than he had in the morning, but more importantly was actually 3 seconds a lap quicker than in the damp.
