Can anyone help?

I have been having issues with my Alfano at my last two meetings. Basically once I have started it up (depressing both buttons or pulses as it says in the rather helpful manual), the systems starts up fine indicating three strips engine temp, etc. But once I have pulled away the system just gives me dashed lines with no real readings at all. I have tried a new battery checked the wiring is not kinked, reset the system (I think), pulled the leads out and re-attached, but still the same.

Can anyone help, also not sure if I have rebooted the system as I find the manual really confusing.
