Yep the 4 stroke would be an option, but with regards to the engine it is still set up for motorcross, lots of blips of the trottle and up and down the revs, not constant high revs so it will need some modification.
Also I am not sure if the service intervals will actually be less.
Having seen in motorcross racing how often the engine are serviced the hours are not that different and then a 4 strke as a hell of a lot more parts.
I am not against the idea, but racing 4 strokes do seem to get rebuilt more often than is thought. Although this might be due to those with money doing it often so everyone else does the same to minimise performance loss
