Just leave it alone and it will get older at the same rate you do!!
Seriously though if you look at the crank caseing on the clutch side you will find a small circle with a number in it, this will denote the year od manufacture of the case. On the same side there is a similar marking on the inlet tract of the clyender where the same applies.
On the latest engines (11 on the number is replaced by a letter code)
The 547961 number I assume is on the crankcase machined face on the sprocket side which sounds like an early 1999 or 2000 year. if it is an older motor the cast finish on the crankcase exterior is noticeably rougher than later motors.
You could always ring JAG with the number and the seal number and they will give you the exact info,
