I've not checked the pop off yet since the last time it happened but the symptom I had was that the engine stopped accelerating half way down the straights and only picked up again when I lifted off the accelerator, and when it did pick up it wasn't accelerating like it should do.

I have been reading through what the exact problem could be but I haven't yet come to a conclusion.

I don't want to just keep rebuilding the carb, I want to know exactly what causes the problem so if anyone has any answers then any help is much appreciated.
