Dean we too was at Wigan for the first time this weekend and we had a great time, our membership is in the post.
Their are a number of things I'm not completely happy about with karting at the moment.
Coc's I've noticed a huge lack of consistency and continuity in the decision process from clerk to clerk track to track, with all the modern forms of communication available in the modern age such as facetime Skype, conference call etc when do the clerks get together and talk to each other once a month or never?
At whilton this weekend a driver got disqualified for missing a yellow fair enough take it on the chin and move on BUT appart from nothing what will happen to the Marshall who was asleep at his post during one of the cadet heats?
Discipline and respect IMO the bigger the club the less their is and where is the deterrent the pg licence what is this for to prevent what? it isn't working whatever it is.

Grid numbers cadet grids at almost all clubs is good with around 20+ you can double that at shenny and whilton, but the next jump mini's at many clubs its about 10, where do the cadets go? Why do they drop out? Has the msa looked into this.

Summing up I also feel that karting has/is fragmented deeply fragmented from the top down.
