I purchased a new light weight Rotax battery 3 weeks ago and although I have followed their instructions on charging find that it does not seem to have enough power to throw in the starter motor so much so that on Saturday I gave up with it and put the old one back on.
It always start the engine eventually but I had that feeling that it was going to let us down and if it did when on the grid there was nothing I could do about it, I have thought about using a slave battery for starting but why should I have to do this when I spent £150 on a battery that should do the job it was intended for.
