Poor advice there djcv8. Dot 5 is a completely different fluid to DOT 4.

The question you need to ask isn't the DOT rating it's whether to use the silicon based DOT 5 or the polyethylene glycol-based DOT 3, 4 and 5.1

I'd just do your own research and make up your own mind, otherwise you will get a dozen or so different answers and you won't know who is talking bull. The link below gives most if not all the info you need.
