I never understood people moaning about the medical. Up until this year I had an international C licence meaning I had to have a medical every year - But it NEVER cost me more than Ł40 with my GP and other GP's in the area. If your GP is charging anymore than that, challenge it, and then if it still doesn't come down, go elsewhere!

As for picking a class - I find it hard to give good advice anymore due to the number of classes on offer. It is much easier to pick the track you want to race at and go from there in terms of picking the right series and class for you.
