My lad went through it a couple of years ago, really as Dogman says get them to study the DVD, all the information to pass is in there. Know the basics, flags, procedures etc and it'll be OK. We did ours at Forest and the examiners couldn't have been more helpful and understanding & I imagine they're the same all the way round the tracks. As stated, they're there to help & assist them to pass, be it ensuring your child is not being put in danger by being out of their depth. But it is a test so prepare for it accordingly. Also there may well be adults taking it too so that always gives the kids a laugh. The pass rate is not far below 100% I think I was told so you should be OK.
