Maybe so, but whats happened is X30 has attracted the correct drivers at the right time.
It got picked up on Karting 1 at the right time when a few fell out of love with rotax so it got tried and was loved by everyone who tried it.

Its just fell into place at the right time. sorry but i don't think blue is going to compete :-s as its had 15 years and its never quite made it. I think X30 is the only one to take it to Rotax Max.

Marketing is important as is Fashion and perception.
The Karts on the X30 grid look presentable and modern. the drivers are younger and have the flashy painted lids .

Its even little things like the Key start rather than the box with a red and green button.

I wish it wasn't that way but its the way it is now Simon. I got bashed so much in the first 3 months of the year for raving about X30 but now its just insane i no ones bashing it and its being accepted as a serious option for the future. Not just in Sprint racing but also in Endurance which is an added positive.

Its attracting drivers from abroad, and its at kartmasters. its in the LGM series, I heard a rumour S1 want a piece of it. You can do the Euro Challenge and world finals (there not quite up to rotax standards yet, but its not far off)

the only down side is grid sizes....but so far the quality of racing have outweighed the lower grid size and theres actually clear growth in the individuals who have competed. Realistically after the September is when i expect the next rise in grid sizes as S1 finishes and people try it out. Then obviously a bigger jump next year in January.

I think if you write a list of positives vs negatives for each class.
Blue, TKM, Rotax, KZ, X30, KF, The X30 ticks the most boxes for most people with the least negatives.
