Hi, we had the bracket break that holds the rad upright. Over a period of 3 or 4 laps the remaining bolted section at the bottom started to lay the rad flat and our temp went upto 90 degrees.

We were racing at the time and my team mate didn't see the temp going up! But lucky enough we use driver to pit radios and I told him what had happened. He pulled the rad up by hand and coasted round the lap.

We looked at the unipro when we down loaded all the info and the ole girl peaked to 97 degrees and done this for approx 45 seconds!

This happened when the engine had done 7 hours! She was fine for the next 11 hours prior to having the top end rebuilt last month.

Curious what happened to the pump????? We have done approx 25 hours on our pump without any issues or losing a band.

Monty
