Hi Brian, all well! Two boys now racing Rotax - one in senior, one in Minimax! No rest for the wicked.

The pipe is simply a carb breather between the two breather pipes on the carb body, although it connects them together, there is a hole in the pipe at the mid point to allow breathing. Its presumably to let air out at fuel comes in.

I've striped down the needle assembly, and its holding pressure, but I did find a tiny bit of gunge in the idle emulsion tube, that might be a cause.
