Yep, think your spot on. Sealed engines out of the box means you get mass production tolerances so difference between good and bad can easily be 10-15%?? but now we have selected parts engines (in Super 1) so good to bad now 5%ish?? I reckon thats about as close to a level playing field as you can get. To put this into context You can easily lose 5% of power down a straight buy using the wrong tyre pressure!!!
