It works as long as the engines are thoroughly checked before sale and I mean completely stripped and properly mmeasured. However 'Buy back' is no quick fix, but if administered properly will soon stop the trade in silly priced engines. The system has been working successfully for years in the States on this basis.

From what I've read the only people who tend to object are those 'cheque book' racing who are no longer able to use their wallets to gain advantage. It seems to me that an entry level class can never be right when the the main engine provider offers more performance for more money!!!
