I race WF at warden law and have to agree that they are not very nice in the wet, the tyres are just too hard. The only advantage is that they last longer and we can run them in the dry with relatively little wear. I always get jealous of the rubber the pro's are using in the wet, and it is common for all WF's to be lapped at least once in a 12 lap race!

In the dry they are very very similar and, sorry Graeme, but the difference between the two classes are, i believe, marginal. There was only one dry race last season and the top 5 or 6 pro's were, if i remember corectly, quicker than all WF's. I have never driven a prokart in a race but my experience as a mixed class suggests that there is very little difference in terms of power or tyre performance. They handle differently which makes one quicker than the other in different parts of the circuit, but results in almost identical lap times in dryish conditions. Its just a little annoying that we 'should' be quicker according to prokart drivers.

Before all of the WL guy's jump me, lol, i'd like to point out that i am nt a world formula tree hugger! and am seriously considering getting a prokart myself so as to be part of a larger grid and closer wet weather racing.

thanks
