Have a look at Club 100, their rules say 'Drivers aged 15years are eligible to compete as long as their 16th birthday falls in the same year'. I appreciate this is 2 strokes rather than prokart. There are test days you can do and you can hire a kart at Rye House on most days by arrangement to try it out. Lots of help from club members, great web site, you don't have to buy anything, competition in classes - Premier/Clubman/Intermediate/Rookie.
