Given the manufacturer's recommended operating RPM topping out at about 3800 RPM, de-goverening a GX160 with permissible carb & jets etc (at sea level) gives us the nominal 5800 RPM peak.

Given the materials used, the structural design and tolerances of the GX160 engine, at what revs would a GX160 start breaking up ?.

I've just scored a ex-motorbike No2 system, and fancy seeing what I can get out of an old racing block. Tee hee.
