Brilliant Championship again at Warden Law and it would not have been Warden Law without at least one awful weather round.

My congratulations is extended to all 25 drivers who were mad enough to present the karts for qualifying and to the marshals and officials who stood out in the driving rain.

But for the championship to go down to the last race of the last round of the season is testament to just how close it has been all year. Huge congratulations to Grant for retaining his title (and the inaugural Elite Championship). Think it is still single figures to Lee in second who certainly had a good go in the opening laps in the final - all very fair, as it should be. Third is some old Lard Ass and 4th is another old boy in Dave Brewis on a 10 year old Wright R1 chassis - awesome.

Clubman has proven to be a huge success and I think Jim White deserves special mention for initiating the concept around this time last year. Adam Harrison is indeed the inaugural champion despite attempts by some Lard Ass to induce set-ups that induce challenge! Not sure about the other places but you need to be in it to win it and without doubt the Elite class will benefit from a number of deserving drivers next year, all of whom are under the legal age to drive a car!

Mr. Abercrombie's win today should not go without mention. With all at stake in the final it was a great piece of driving to take victory ahead of the title protagonists.

The prokart class has been extremely well supported this year with the continuance of quality, returning drivers, converts from other classes (notably WF and Rotax) as well as completely new drivers to the sport and guest appearances from the true Prokarting Elite. Is Warden Law a great championship? You are dam right it is and Grant is a worthy champion and while we have banged wheels on a couple of times this year I can't wait to be fit enough to race with Grant and every other driver again next year.

Graeme
