I have never actualy tried it but ive always run with one, everyone claims its better and everyone at the front runs one weather it be the bubble or regular big foot. certainly its nice in the rain thats until you driver through a lake at Warden LAw...........oups!!!
As for a tow or what ever you want to call it, provding your behind someone you will be up at the front in quali if your out on your own you are miles off pace so without a doubt there is some tow effect(this is PF)!
Im not into areodynamics but you have gotta look at the big foot and think its alot smoother flow rather than going over the drivers legs, pedals, arms steering wheel etc... which will create some drag probably fractional, i know were only talking pro karts here not F1, but Its claimed to be worth a 10th, which going by this season at PF its a tenth worth having because in september i was 7th on the grid and i was only 7 hundredths off pole!
