Hi Scott, glad its for non MSA I should have pointed that out.
I've done 2 for test days so i'm no expert, but once apart I just cut the perforated part of the baffle plate away using a small grinding disc, make sure you don't leave any small burrs or shards of metal as these will get very hot and fall off possibly going back into the engine. reassemble the 3 parts holding in a vice or g clamp and refold the central seam. Weld back around the end of the tube and add a tack weld in each corner of the folded seam. You will then have something close to a PKE exhaust (i think!)
