Don't confuse PFI the track with TVKC the club. They are linked, but not the same, and not run by the same people.
PFI track run 4/ prokarts for arrive and drive, hosted a round of the Sodi RX250 challenge this year and on one Sunday a month (third?)have prokart racing run through a different club.
Hardly an aversion to valves and cams!
TVKC are a club that runs what its members want, and its members appear to want 2/ machines, and they want 24 racers on each and every grid - plus A and B finals if possible.TVKC possibly feel they have enough different championship classes as it is (having just added TKM 2/)without squeezing another in.
They are a very professional club with high quality grids turning out every month to chase their club championship.We are talking big teams / motorhomes / awnings and racers who get new chassis every few meetings just to stay on the pace. (Unfortunately, we don't fit into that mould, in case you wondered!)
I have no link to either PFI or TVKC, but have found both to be friendly, enthusiastic and committed to sustaining and developing top level kart racing in the UK.
If you think that your Biland group are at the level that TVKC are pitching at, you might be able to persuade them to run you as a one off at a quieter meeting (Feb?)and impress them with grid size, quality of turn out and clean, close racing. If you just want to race at the PFI track, maybe if you approach the club that runs the prokarts, they would be more open to running a grid of Bilands.
