The engine you talk about exists, not the engine used on prokarts but a single engine that will mount on a Rotax chassis.
Lap times aren't enormous, about 4-5 seconds faster than a Honda cadet, but with Hard tyres and the Maxime 'go fast slowly' the racing is very very close.

Engines are equal and relaible enough to be sealed from new and be good for 200 hours plus before a rebuild.
