Each transponder has a unique number that you provide to the circuit operators with your event entry. The signal from your transponder is collected as you pass a wire loop buried in the track normally within 1 metre of the start line as painted on the track, this signal is the processed through a decoder box and then recorded on the event software and displayed against your name.
Note: you will have to mount the transponder as indicated and there is a regulation as to where it should be mounted which is on the back of the seat about 300 mm from the floor.
